Garden Soup

Fall is in the air and with it my favorite meals!!

Now I am a spring and summer girl through and through, except when pregnant….whoever allowed me to do that is not funny, but when it comes to making meals I love a good soup/stew with homemade bread, rolls, or biscuits covered in homemade jam!

With soups and stews you can pretty much throw anything in short of the kitchen sink and no one is the wiser!

One of our family’s favorite soups is our “Garden Soup” accompanied by sprouted spelt buttermilk biscuits (recipe to come)!

With a bone broth base to help keep your immune system up you can through any vegetables in that sound good to you!

Don’t worry…I am still going to share with you our go to though!

So let’s get to chopping!

Recipe:

1 cup pumpkin

1 cup zucchini

1 cup peas

1 cup of corn

1 cup green beans

1 cup potatoes

1 sweet onion chopped

2 cloves of garlic chopped

2 lbs of hamburger

2 cups bone broth

2 dashes oregano, basil, rosemary

Wash, cut all your vegetables (I leave the skins on my potatoes, zucchini and pumpkin), and throw them into a pot. Add your 2 lbs of hamburger browned and the bone broth along with enough water to cover everything (or make as much broth as you want!). Sprinkle your herbs over top, put a lid on your pot, and allow everything to boil until done!

Serve while hot with your favorite bread!!

Enjoy!!
