Lamb Steak and Sweet Potato Fries

What could be better than bbq season?!

The other night my husband pulled our grill out and I knew the time had come! Que happy dance!!

So I started digging through our pantry to see what i could find for sides for our lamb steaks. What i settled on was sweet potato fries and oh my goodness….talk about making the party!

Did you know lamb is an excellent source for protein, nutrients (iron, zinc, vitamin B12, etc), has omega-3 fatty acids, and so on?!

For a smaller animal they sure pack a big healthy punch!!

Now pair that with the benefits of sweet potato (high in fiber and antioxidants, which helps to promote a healthy gut, brain, and protect against from free radical damage!) and you have a dynamic duo for dinner. Add in a spinach and strawberry salad (https://www.ranchwifenecessities.com/life-of-a-ranch-wife/2023/4/29/ctzzvxms2xhf3efg25x2lt4tybfefw) and dinner is complete!!!

When we make this nothing, and i mean nothing, is left over. Our 4, almost 3, and almost 1 year old devour every little bit left. Yes you read that right even our one year old digs in (he’s got 30 lbs of pure muscle to maintain!) its that good!

So let’s get to grilling!

Lamb steaks:

Marinate once thawed in Worcestershire sauce for about 15 minutes

Sweet potato fries:

Oven 400 degrees

While your lamb steaks are marinating grab your potatoes, peel and cut them into fries, and place them on a baking sheet.

Then over top of the fries spray avocado cooking oil and sprinkle salt.

Throw those bad boy into the oven for about 25 minutes or until your level of crispy fries. Serve with your favorite fry sauce!

Now back to our lamb steaks:

Once your grill is nice and hot place your marinated steaks onto it. Make sure to pour all the juice over top once they are! Grill them till they are your level of colored on the bottom side. Just before flipping sprinkle seasoning salt, pepper, and garlic salt over them. Finish them to your level of steak goodness (according to my husband if they are burnt or “well-done” you need to reevaluate how to grill a good steak)!

Place all your delicious food on a plate and dig in!! Make sure to grab plenty because I promise it wont last long!

Enjoy!
