1 Pregnancy Tip

Make sure you are taking magnesium!!!!

At the end of pregnancy things start to slow down which in turn can cause constipation.

Magnesium, unlike stool softeners, doesn’t dry out your bowel but instead helps to increase the amount of water in your intestines. This in turn helps to naturally move things along.

Another less than fun pregnancy side effect is muscle cramps especially in your calves! Making sure that you are taking adequate magnesium before bed at night can help with relaxing your body so you can get that much needed beauty sleep and keeping away the dread Charlie horses that tend to visit in the dead of night.

Magnesium also plays a huge role in nerve function and maintaining normal blood pressure! Research even suggests that getting adequate magnesium during pregnancy can help prevent preterm labor and other pregnancy complications!

When I was 36 weeks pregnant with my oldest preterm labor tried kicking in. My midwife came and suggested i try taking magnesium to stop things from progressing. I followed her suggestions and ended up carrying full term!

If you are looking for a magnesium that is easy to take (yes I know gummies aren’t the best form but my body will only except them when pregnant…..everything else is given back up to the porcelain seat within 15 minutes) linked below is the one I’ve come to love and dread running out!!!!
